The Kingston Solar Project is a 100 megawatt solar facility located in the City of Kingston and Loyalist Township. Connor, Clark & Lunn Infrastructure and Samsung Renewable Energy Inc. provided equity funding for the project.
The project uses solar modules and inverter houses manufactured by Canadian Solar Solutions Inc. and inverters made by SMA Canada Inc.
The facility is now one of the largest solar projects in North America. Power generated by the facility is being sold at a fixed price to the Independent Electricity System Operator under a 20-year Feed-In Tariff contract.
