New Star Institutional Managers has been managing global and regional equity and fixed income portfolios since 1976. Their goal is to provide clients with consistently strong performance.

New Star’s approach to fund management is built around a stable team of experienced investment professionals with a passion for managing money. On average, they have 15 years’ investment experience and 10 years with the company itself. Along with other key employees, fund managers have equity ownership in the company.

New Star Asset Management, founded by John Duffield in London, England, acquired WorldInvest in December 2000 and changed its name to New Star Institutional Managers in November of 2001. In 1996 they established New Star Canada Inc., located in Toronto, to provide specialty investment management services to Canadian institutional investors.
