US Large Cap Equity

The Gyrus US Large Cap Equity strategy invests in equity securities of companies located or doing business primarily in the United Sates. With emphasis on careful stock selection through their own independent research, Gyrus’ active investment style is best described as bottom-up fundamental.

Portfolios are designed to have valuation characteristics similar to that of the S&P 500 Composite Index, while having superior growth characteristics. Using this approach, Gyrus strives to add value over complete market cycles.

Investment Process

Stocks within the S&P 500 index are screened quantitatively and ranked by sector based on a variety of factors, including price/earnings, price/book, earnings and revenue momentum.

Detailed fundamental analysis is applied to roughly 150 names using a combination of proprietary and “street” research. Stocks within each sector are evaluated based growth and valuation factors. Adjusted rankings are then used to identify the top 8-12 stocks by sector.

Portfolio risk is managed through continual monitoring of portfolio characteristics. Strict sell disciplines and tight portfolio controls are also in place at the security and sector level.
