CC&L in the Community

As an organization and through individual efforts, CC&L supports the community in a variety of ways. Here are some examples of our involvement:

The Connor, Clark & Lunn Foundation

In 1999, the Connor, Clark & Lunn Foundation was created to distribute a percentage of the firm's revenue to not-for-profit organizations within the communities where we live and do business. The Foundation responds to requests from our clients, staff and others to fund programs across Canada that help to promote a better environment, improvements to education, advances in science and medicine, stronger communities and the arts.

Vancouver Foundation

The Vancouver Foundation helps build vibrant communities in British Columbia by harnessing the gifts of energy, ideas, time and money from caring citizens. Operating since 1943, the Vancouver Foundation is Canada’s largest community foundation with more than 1,400 endowment funds and approximately $750 million in assets. CC&L's Gord MacDougall became Chairman of the Foundation in 2011. Click here to read the Vancouver Foundation magazine article on Gord's appointment.

Alzheimer Society of British Columbia

We are one of the organizers of the annual Vancouver "Forget Me Not Golf Tournament" which has raised over $3 million in the last 10 years.

Down Syndrome Research Foundation

The Down Syndrome Research Foundation (DSRF) is a world-renowned Burnaby, BC based facility dedicated to down syndrome research and providing support and resources to individuals with Down Syndrome and their families. The facility is the only one of its kind in North America. CC&L participates in the annual Up the Down Market dinners in Vancouver, Calgary, Toronto and Montreal raising funds for the DSRF.

Nature Trust of British Columbia

Several CC&L partners have been on the board of this prestigious organization that is dedicated to protecting and conserving some of British Columbia's most spectacular and endangered regions.

Take a Hike Foundation

Take a Hike is a unique program in partnership with the Vancouver School Board. The objective is to engage "youth at risk" in a program that combines outdoor experiential learning with in-class academics. A CC&L partner is a founding director.
