CC&L's approach to Canadian equity investing is based upon a disciplined process focusing on a long-term, fundamental, bottom-up approach to security selection combined with a top-down analysis that influences sector and capitalization tilts. The cornerstone of the process is strong fundamental analysis combined with a discipline that sets target prices for all companies in the investment universe. CC&L places a high degree of importance on the evaluation of company management.

Quantitative Canadian and US Equities
CC&L believes itself to be the first investment manager in Canada to apply a fundamental investment philosophy across multiple investment styles (core, value, growth) using a purely quantitative process that results in portfolios with strong fundamental characteristics. The investment process incorporates both top-down and bottom-up elements and seeks to add value using active stock selection and industry selection, which is based on a proprietary breakdown of the Canadian and US markets.
