Investment Advisor

Connor, Clark & Lunn Investment Management Ltd. (“CCLIM”) acts as the Investment Advisor and provides Investment Advisory and portfolio management services to the Partnership. The Investment Advisor, part of the Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group, was established in 1982 and has offices in Vancouver and Toronto. The Investment Advisor has of assets under its management, of which approximately $4.4 billion was invested in energy and materials sector investments. Connor, Clark & Lunn Capital Markets Inc. is the Manager of the Partnership. The Manager has in assets under management and is also part of the Connor, Clark & Lunn Financial Group, a group of affiliated companies with aggregate assets under management of .

Energy Team

Alastair I. Dunn, Partner. Alastair joined CCLIM in 1986 and has 30 years of investment industry experience. Alastair is the co-manager of the AGF Large Cap Dividend Fund with a focus on managing the banking, utilities and energy sectors. Canadian corporations in a survey sponsored by Reuters in 2000 voted Alastair the best individual fund manager. Alastair has developed particularly strong relationships over the last 20 years with the management teams of Canadian oil and gas companies, as well as the investment boutiques that provide them access to capital markets, providing him with a unique ability to determine the winning companies in the sector and obtain access to high quality investments. Alastair has a degree in Financial Management, BC Institute of Technology (1974).

Gary Baker, Partner. Gary joined CCLIM in 2003, after spending 15 years in numerous analysis and research positions in the investment industry, including Raymond James Financial, RT Capital Management and Sun Life of Canada. Gary holds the CFA designation; an MBA, University of Toronto (1985); and a BEng, McMaster University (1984). Gary started his career as a petroleum engineer for Gulf Canada in 1984.

John P. Novak, Partner. John joined CCLIM in 2006, after having spent the previous 13 years as an equity analyst on the sell side, including at TD Securities, Westwind Partners and CIBC World Markets. John holds the CFA designation; an MSc, London School of Economics (1997); an MBA, University of Toronto (1994); and a BA, Brock University (1991).

Samba Chunduri, Partner. Samba joined CCLIM in 2005, after having spent the previous 4 years as an equity analyst in the investment industry at Raymond James and Orion Securities. Samba has an MBA from University of Western Ontario (2002) and a BTech from JN Technical University (1995).
